This Year At The Pumpkin Patch

Where has October gone? It seems a blur and now it's almost Halloween. The temperature is dropping so we're pulling out our sweaters, coats, hats, and mittens. There are Christmas decorations already in the stores. I know I'll blink again and it will be Thanksgiving.

Levi is keeping busy at school. He absolutely loves it! I see him learning lots of things and his curiosity seems to grow by the day. He wants to know about things and asks what new words mean, all the while filing it away so he can pull it out later and wow us with his understanding.

Lillian has had the chance to get to know some new friends her age now that Levi is at school three mornings a week. It has also been nice to connect with the moms of these little ones.

This month, we visited a few pumpkin patches. One trip never seems like enough. We went back to Denny's Pumpkins in Independence with my mom a few weeks ago. We came home with pumpkins, squash, and gourds for decoration and eating.

This past weekend we went on the Autumn Drive in McHenry County and ended up at Cody's Farm again. There they enjoyed the pedal tractors, barrel train, goats, and playing in the corn. We also picked our pumpkins for carving.
